Disclosure: I was asked to review this product. I received nothing in exchange for my review. I did it as a service to the company, and all my opinions are 100 percent mine.
FotoJet is a free online collage maker that enables users to quickly create amazing photo cards, collages and posters without the hassles of downloading or installing. Check some of its highlighted features:

  • 170+ perfectly designed templates for 6 styles.
  • Lots of customizable features: flip, mirror, zoom and text font, style, color, etc.
  • Freely save collage as JPG/PNG or directly share it via Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Email online.

My thoughts:

I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but in recent months I have discovered the world of digital art. While I am still an amateur, I have worked hard to understand and appreciate this online art form. I am always looking for new websites and software to use, and I was very happy to be approached by Pearl Mountain Technology to review their free online software. And I jumped right in.

I typically create online art collages for Hallmark Channel, and I was excited to see some of the intriguing styles offered.  I was happy with how easy it was to pick a style, choose and insert pictures, and download and/or share your final creation. Here are a couple that I created.

In all these cases, I loved the end result (there are some really neat 3D designs too), but I have just one or two things I hope they will improve.

  • I would love to be able to have and easy way to remove the “fotojet” logo–either connect with facebook, twitter, or maybe have this be a feature that costs.
  • I would also enjoy being able to add text easier. If there is text already there, it’s easy enough to change.  But all too often, I had to put this into another website so I could add text.
  • I would also like to be able to change the background color/pattern. There was never any option for that.

What great software! I have tried to organize my pictures, but the best I could do is put them on my computer’s screen saver. This may be what I need to finally get organized. Many thanks for the review.

When I print, I have boring photos. I like the collage idea, and especially the 3D ability. I do agree that it should allow somehow the removal of the logo.

I take a lot of photos, and there they sit. On my phone. Until I run out of room and then I go through and delete them. Never to be printed, never to be shared. This looks like great software that could bring my photos to life.

I think the fact that you can’t purchase an upgrade that would allow you to remove the FotoJet logo from the collage would be a deal-breaker for me. I would not want to make and share collages that so prominently displayed the company’s logo on them. I have found many similar products that do have this option. I would consider it if they offered it in the future.

This looks like a fun and creative software for photos. I need to be more creative when displaying my photos 🙂
