Making-the-Most-of-LifeAt this time of year, with the holidays upon us, let us not forget the real meaning for the season.  We live in a blessed nation, and we often take it all for granted. We get to complaining about what is wrong with this nation and its people without focusing on what is right.  We can give lip service concerning the fact that we have friends, family, bountiful food, etc.  However, just as this quote reminds us, let us be good stewards of the blessings we have received.  May we be grateful each day for what we have and live in that spirit of thankfulness all year-long and not just for one day out of the year.

Additionally, we know that Christmas is right around the corner. This is another busy time of year where we can easily get caught up in the materialism that is being promoted all around us. We can forget the real reason for this festive time of year.  For Christians and many others, this is the time of year when we celebrate the greatest Gift that ever cam to this earth–the Savior, the Son of God.  The message of Christmas is that God didn’t put us in this planet and then abandon us to our own devices. No, we are not alone. God sent His son to redeem humanity, and He is always as close as a prayer.

Sometimes its necessary that we’re reminded of these type quotes to help us remember what the holidays are truly all about. Especially when you’re family is perhaps going through some unnecessary drama, like mine unfortunately is. 🙁

We may not have a lot but we have each other 🙂 I always teach my family that no matter how bad things may seem there is always someone that is less fortunate than us. We always try to do what we can for others.
