I am always on the lookout for great products to review, and I was quite pleased when the company sent this cell phone mount to me for review.  All they asked was that I give my honest opinion of their product (which is what I will do with this blog post).

I am sure you are like me and have seen items very similar to this whether online or in the store. I will admit that I was quite skeptical.  I have a cell phone that I have had to use for a couple of things while I drive.  It has been a GPS for me (right after my GPS was stolen).  I also have used it to identify what music is playing on the radio.  I have never used it as an MP3 player–I don’t have enough memory.  And since I can no longer place or answer phone calls while driving, it generally sits in my purse (unless I am putting it on speakerphone).  I have a bluetooth set, but I have not used it as of yet.  I may not.  But that’s not the point.

Because my phone is generally in my purse, I will admit that I have missed important texts and calls when I have pulled into a parking lot and come to a stop.  I forget about my phone because it is out of sight, out of mind.  There is never a convenient place to put my phone when I am driving.

I had no trouble installing this particular device.  I am going to be honest–I didn’t place it on the glass on my windshield because I don’t like having to take the mount off and on.  Ever since my GPS was stolen a few years ago, I don’t ever leave mounts like that visible in my car.  That’s just me.  But I can tell that the suction cup is good and would certainly hold–just like the suction cup on my GPS.

I was interested to try the dashboard mount.  It was easy enough to place the little disc on my dashboard, and the suction cup did attach fairly securely to the disc.  And the cradle held my phone more securely that I thought it would.  I was pleasantly surprised by that.

Once I placed my phone on the dashboard, it was really quite secure and held for quite a while.  I loved the ability to move my phone all around.  In fact, the clock on my phone is easier to see than my in-dash clock.  I only have one minor complaint.  Once I started moving the phone around on its mount, it did come detached from the disc.  I was afraid that the phone might be harmed.  But thanks to the very protective and effective cradle, it was unharmed.   I cannot guarantee that your phone, mp3 player, etc. will never fall.  It happened a couple of times, but that is to be expected.  What I will say is that once you find the right spot for your phone and securely attach it, it will stay fairly well.  Once you move it around within the journey, that is when you may have trouble with it not being securely attached.  More than likely, attaching it to the windshield will be a better option than attaching it to your dashboard.
