Many theories have been put forward regarding nature versus nurture. In essence, it questions whether human development is determined by your genes or by the environment you’re brought up in. This is effectively a timeless debate. After all, there are so many variables that it is impossible to conduct a decisive study and gain a definitive answer.

Perhaps the real answer is that both elements are essential to the development of humans. But, one thing that science has made clear is that early childhood education can have an extremely positive effect on children.

Of course, you need to select a good facility such as Star Academy Kids; this will ensure the learning environment is both nurturing and natural.

The simple fact is that by the age of 5 your brain is 90% developed. Up to that age, a child’s brain is just like a sponge, able to absorb huge amounts of information. Of course, a child will continue to learn after 5 years old; they should be learning new things for the whole of their life.

But, it is these first 5 years where a good early childhood education can make a real difference to any child. Positive effects include:

Sociability

Children learn through interaction, this includes interacting with and watching other children. BY ensuring there is plenty of time for a child to interact with others and choose their own path you’ll find that they are much more sociable throughout life.

This will help them to succeed in any endeavor they undertake.

Confidence

We are all aware of the issues that surround people lacing in confidence. The inability to even believe in yourself enough to voice your opinion or push for a promotion can hold the best people back.

Confidence starts in early childhood. When a child realizes that their voice is important and they do have some control over what happens next they become confident.

This will be important to them as they mature and face adult situations.

Dispute Resolution

The same principle of confidence and sociability will almost guarantee that your child will experience conflict along their journey. This is actually a good thing as they learn to resolve the conflict, another skill that is essential in later life.

Languages

There is no doubt that early childhood education helps your child to learn more and to be prepared for learning later in life. This can help them to be at the top of their potential and pursue any dream they want.

But, an additional bonus of early childhood education is the teaching of languages. Below the age of 6, children can pick up the nuances associated with a language that most adults cannot hear. This allows them to develop a fluency that is difficult to achieve in later life.

With a good knowledge of languages, the world really is their oyster.

Don’t forget that the best early childhood education facilities will achieve a lot of this through interactive play and even some alone time for your child.
