Little Rock, 1938
On this date in 1938, Douglas “Wrong Way” Corrigan arrived in Dublin, Ireland. He mistakenly veered from the flight path which was supposed to go from New York to California. Shortly after take-off, he made a 180-degree turnaround.  Originally, he wanted to cross the Atlantic, but he was denied due to the ailing nature of his plane.  He continued to maintain that he simply went the wrong way. Regardless, he is a part of aviation history.
