Dave Crisp and some of his discovery
I truly wish I could find something like today’s feature.  On this date in 2010, hospital chef, Dave Crisp, who is described as a metal detector enthusiast, unearthed over 52,000 Roman coins worth over a million dollars that were buried in a field.  These coins dated from 253 to 293 A. D., and they were mostly made of debased silver and bronze.  He initially only found 21 coins, but he soon realized he would need additional help to get the rest of the coins out of the ground.
