Again, I am not a sports fan, but I know sports fans follow my blog.  Therefore, on this date in 1969, Sam Gash was born.  In 1992, football team New England patriots drafted him.  In 1999, he made history by becoming the first  first African American in NFL history to be selected to the Pro Bowl without carrying the ball at all during the regular season.  He won the Super Bowl in 2000 with the Baltimore Ravens.  The New Orleans Saints let him go in 2004 one day before training camp began.  He is currently the running backs coach for the Green Bay Packers.  He also was a coach with the New York Jets and the Detroit Lions.
