Equestrian statue of King Henri IV of France, Pont Neuf

It was on this date in 1399, that King Henry IV was proclaimed king after the abdication of King Richard II. Upon his ascension to the throne, he imprisoned Richard who then died of unknown causes.

    It was also on this date in 1974 that I was born!!! Thanks for the history tidbit; my Dad always told my siblings and myself to study our geography and history- and I still try to!
