Mary Pickford

Maybe you have heard of today’s feature; I certainly have but know very ittle about het.   On this date in 1909, Mary Pickford made her screen debut at the age of 16.  She and her husband Douglas Fairbanks were considered Hollywood royalty.  In 1909, she starred in 51 films, and by the time she was 24, she was earning one million dollars per year!
