Tynker Home Course Giveaway Hosted by Pea of Sweetness
Sponsored by Tynker
Tynker enables children to learn programming and design thinking in a fun and imaginative way. Tynker offers interactive courses for children to learn programming at their own pace at home and curriculum and grade specific programming courses for schools.
Tynker’s Introduction to Programming is recommended for children in grades 4th-8th, but see how Emilee at Pea of Sweetness has been adapting it to use with their 7 year old son, who will be starting 2nd grade in a few weeks, by checking out her full Tynker Introduction to Programming Review on Pea of Sweetness.
Tynker is a curriculum provider for the Hour of Code initiative by CSEdWeek and code.org. They have built 8 new free tutorials (pictured above) specifically for the Hour of Code!
Plus, they recently enabled gifting on their website just in time for the holidays! This allows any adult (including a parent) to gift the Tynker Home Course to a child.
As I looked at all this information, I realized how much my daughter would enjoy this. She is in fifth grade, so I plan to look this up on my own as well!

I like that they make it interesting for a child to learn programing and make it fun. I have a grandson who would love to learn programming games. I would like to see them make it fun and available for Older people who are technologically challenged.
