The Chosen is a groundbreaking historical drama that brings Jesus’s life to the screen in an intimate, authentic, and compelling way. With over 250 million viewers worldwide as of July 2024, this series has captivated audiences with its powerful storytelling and deep emotional impact. Now, just in time for Holy Week, The Chosen: Last Supper is hitting theaters in a special three-part release, giving fans a cinematic experience like never before.

Synopsis: A Pivotal Moment in History

The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus (Jonathan Roumie) as their king, while his disciples anticipate his crowning. However, instead of confronting Rome, Jesus turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival. His revolutionary teachings and actions threaten the religious and political leaders, pushing them to orchestrate what they believe will be his final moments. This three-part theatrical release immerses audiences in the most pivotal week in human history, capturing the depth of Jesus’ mission and the emotions of those who followed him.

Final Thoughts

I was slow to embrace The Chosen. With all the buzz surrounding it, I doubted it could live up to the hype. It wasn’t until my daughter encouraged my mom and me to watch it that I finally gave it a chance—and wow, was I wrong! Now, experiencing The Chosen: Last Supper, I can confidently say this is the pièce de résistance. The Last Supper has never been portrayed with such depth, emotion, and realism. Even if this is your introduction to the series, you’ll be drawn into the humanity and divinity of Christ through the incredible performances and storytelling.

Don’t miss this powerful Easter season event—experience The Chosen: Last Supper in theaters starting March 28!
