I easily created an account with the company, and within minutes, I had access to exactly what I needed to get going.  It included the course, a printable workbook, and the e-book entitled 10 Days to Faster Reading.  I appreciated the overview they gave of how people read, and I learned why some people read so slowly.  Many people read like I type–either mouthing the words physically or saying them in their heads.  But that is not the best way to read, and I discovered that I had been reading the right way for years without even knowing it!  No wonder I could knock out a 300-page book in no time.

I am still in the midst of the course as I truly wish to take my time, but I have found the e-book full of wonderful information.  I smiled as I read about distractions during reading and how often those distractions are a part of everyday life for me!  My main focus with the course is not necessarily to improve my reading speed.  It is off the charts!  But I wish to improve my comprehension and retention skills.  There are so many books I have read, and they have not stuck with me.  I look at my review a couple of months later, and I wonder why I gave the book a 5-star rating because I don’t remember it!  That is where I need help, and I will continue with the course to learn all I can about how to retain the information I read.
