My rating: 4 of 5 starsI was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100 percent mine, and I was not financially compensated in any way.
First of all this book is a completely clean romance–no sex, profanity, or anything that will offend more sensitive readers. It is truly heartwarming, and if you like Hallmark movies, you have found your new book!
I did enjoy and connect with the two main characters–Cass and Luke. Both are a little bit older and have been married before. That already made them more interesting and relatable to me. The story was sweet with a little conflict here and there, but never more than what the reader would want.
My only criticism is that there were times the story moved a little more slowly than I wanted. I also would have enjoyed having the characters more fleshed out and moving towards three-dimensional, but you know what? You can’t always have everything you want in a sweet romance. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a solid romance with heart, soul, and lightheartedness.
