wireless scaleNote:  I received a free product for review purposes.

Several years ago, I lost a great deal of weight–around 50 pounds.  I have kept it off, and I still have about ten pounds to go.  However, I am extremely conscious about what I eat, and I even used to keep an online food diary.  I had to put everything in manually, and that wasn’t always convenient.  I also didn’t like to weigh things out and then have to enter it online.  It was not always easy when I was on-the-go.

appI would like to tell  you about a  fairly new product called the NutriCrystal Wireless Smart Food Scale.  This is the world’s first bluetooth scale.  It is able to pair with your iOS or Android smartphone, and it the perfect scale for busy people trying to lose weight and even track glucose levels.  This deletes that extra step that I always had to do.  Why?  Because you weigh your product on this scale, and it automatically inputs the information into your mobile app.  It works with the NutriPlus app that is available in iOS, Android, and even online.  Not  only does it track your nutritional intake, but it compares it with national standards and even amongst your friends.

I will tell you that setup was very easy.  I have an Android phone, and I downloaded the necessary app.  I had no trouble pairing the scale and phone (first time I have ever done anything like this).  I had to go through the process a few times to pair the devices, but it finally happened.

appThe scale itself is slim, lightweight, and effective.  It doesn’t take much to turn the scale on (once you charge the internal battery) and off.  It is quite precise, and this is the ideal scale for people who are trying to live healthier lifestyles.  I do recommend having an up-to-date phone. (Mine is a couple years old, and it was a little  slow.  It did work, however.)

There is honestly only one thing that will keep me from using this scale as regularly as I would like to.  I don’t get cell phone reception at home.  That’s right.  I live in the country, and the only way I get reception is via wifi.  I don’t like doing that, so I am glad that the company has the other option of connecting the scale to a PC.  That is something I do use, and I believe this can take the guesswork out of measuring food.  I will admit I don’t plan to use it during the holiday season–Thanksgiving is not conducive to this kind of health-consciousness–this is the ideal thing to get me on track come the first of the year (or maybe the first part of December). This is an ideal product for the tech-savvy, health-conscious person in your life.

In addition to ordering one of these for you and your friends, be sure to check them out on facebook for the latest news, deals, and more.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
