Home Matters (The Ripple Effect Romance Novella Series, #1)Home Matters by Julie N. Ford

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Julie N. Ford is one of those authors who seems to have the writing formula down to a science. I can say this because this is the third book of hers that I have read and reviewed. Each time, I have given her a resounding 5-star rating, and she is completely deserving of the honor. No, she is not the next literary genius, and I doubt Hollywood will be contacting her with a massive contract deal. But that is not the beauty and charm of her books. She is an author who sees past that and writes clean romances with simple stories that are humorous and touch the heart. She can write heavier books (check out “Replacing Gentry”), but no matter what, you will not find unwelcome surprises in her books. Everything you will read by this author is a sheer and genuine delight.

This book hearkens back to the first book of hers that I read–“Countdown to Love.” I love reality shows (at least some of them), and this book centers around that Hollywood mania. Julie has a unique and realistic look into the world of unreality, and she even has a few clever surprises here and there. Her theme rings true–Be true to yourself no matter what the cost. This is a light read, but it is worth your time and energy.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

I haven’t read any books from this author yet, but I love romances, especially if they are light and fun, so I’ll check this one out!
