Christmas in JulyWelcome to the Christmas in July Giveaway Hop hosted by I Am a Reader and Laurie Here.  This is a blog hop that is celebrating Christmas books!  I loved Hallmark’s Christmas in July movie marathon a couple of weeks ago.  I am still watching Christmas movies I put on the DVR back then!  As a result of Hallmark, I love Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle books (okay, I’ve only seen the two Hallmark movies, but I’m sure they are good).  As a result of all the promotion on Hallmark, I heard about Debbie Macomber’s upcoming Christmas book Mr. Miracle.  In fact, I did what I don’t usually do–I pre-ordered the book!

Here’s a summary:

Harry Mills is a guardian angel on a mission: help twenty-four-year-old Addie Folsom get her life back on track—and, if the right moment strikes, help her find love. Posing as a teacher at a local college in Tacoma, Washington, Harry is up to the task, but not even he can predict the surprises that lay in store.

After trying to make it on her own, Addie has returned home to Tacoma for the holidays, but this time she plans to stay for good, enrolling in the local community college to earn her degree. What she doesn’t plan to do is run into Erich Simmons.

Addie and her next-door neighbor, Erich, are like night and day. Growing up, he was popular and outgoing while she was rebellious and headstrong, and he never missed an opportunity to tease her. Now she intends to avoid him entirely, yet when they’re suddenly forced to spend Christmas together, Addie braces for trouble.

Perhaps it’s the spirit of the season or the magic of mistletoe, but Addie and Erich soon find they have more in common than they thought—and that two people who seem so wrong for each other may actually be just right. With a little prompting from a certain angelic teacher, the two are in for a holiday miracle they’ll never forget.

Okay, I’m really excited now since I was born in Tacoma, Washington!!  Anyway, my giveaway is for a Christmas book of your choice.  It can be this one or another one, if you like.  Please enter the rafflecopter by 9 P.M. Pacific time on July 31, and don’t forget to enter the other giveaways in the blog hop!  Check out the linky below.  This is an international giveaway as long as Book Depository, Fishpond, or Amazon ships to you.

I know that everyone seems to love Debbie Macomber’s books and movies, but I have never read or seen one! I love watching Christmas movies, but not in July. I like waiting until December 1st.

I love reading Christmas stories and watching Christmas movies, but I only like to do that at the end of the year, so I resisted participating in Hallmark’s Christmas in July–though it was tempting. Thank you for the giveaway!

A favorite part of our Christmas is to adopt 2 children from the Salvation Army Angel Tree and provide their Christmas. We usually pick children who want things our own children wanted when they were little.

I love the idea of Christmas in July. Christmas is my favourite time of year and 365 is such a long wait, it’s nice to have a little mini Christmas halfway. Do you think my family would find it weird if they come home and I’ve put up a tree??

All of my children live miles away. We would like to really start getting together in July for Christmas. They all usually work on Christmas, the day before or the day after, along with the White Christmas’s in Nebraska, we haven’t been together for 2 years. We use to always spend Christmas Eve at Gram & Gramps. Now that they are no longer with us we need a new tradition! Yes to Christmas in July! 🙂

You know, I just realized that one of my favorite books, Rebel Angels by Libba Bray is a Christmas book. It takes place during Christmas break. I’d love to read Winterspell, which is a retelling of The Nutcracker.

    Thank you!

I am such a sucker for all the Christmas movies that come one during the month of December and into January. Even though I have seen many of them and most of the time it are reruns of movies they already showed like a hundred times…me and my family still cozy up with hot chocolate and blankets to watch them 🙂 Absolutely love it 🙂

I saved my allowance all year long as a child to purchase gifts for my family and friends. I wouldn’t buy candy, toys, or otherwise waste my limited funds on myself. Christmas was too important to me. It continues to be important to me today. I want my family together and happy.

I love Christmas traditions. One of our favorite traditions is the Christmas tree book countdown http://totplay.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-traditions-25-days-to.html. My daughter and I collect Christmas books. We love reading them and even read them throughout the year. We mix in books we borrowed from the library with our own to create the tree. It’s always so much fun and we BOTH look forward to it every single year! I hope you all will stop by and check it out especially if you have children.
