Twin Flames: More Love Poems by Kanta Bosniak
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Poetry is possibly one of the most subjective of the literary art forms out there, and it is also somewhat of a dying art form. Since it is often under-appreciated in today’s society, it can be difficult to review. However, I happen to enjoy poetry, and this particular book of poetry has some redeeming qualities for me that would definitely cause me to recommend it–especially as a gift to give to your sweetheart.
I absolutely adore the drawings in the book and the quotes from classic poets. I love the poets from long ago, and this was nice to see those scattered throughout the book. I also enjoyed the variety of poetry encased within this particular volume. While I could not readily relate to all of it, I would say that most of it had quite vivid word pictures. That is something at which the author definitely is an expert.
I will admit that some of the premise was difficult for me to comprehend. I am not of a metaphysical nor New Age persuasion, so the introduction certainly was somewhat lost on me. I can also say that not ever experiencing the kind of love about which she spoke caused me not to connect. But it certainly ignited a thirst within me. I would heartily recommend this book of poetry to lovers of literature, poetry, and romance.

Kanta Bosniak’s Love Poems express the joy, zeal, and sense of sacred connection we feel when we are in love with a partner, passionate friend, spouse, or the inner Beloved. The collection is a potent combination of romantic and spiritual love whimsically illustrated by the author. Readers will find in it just the right blend of humor, sweetness and ardor. A perfect little gift for a special occasion, or simply to celebrate the everyday miracle of unruly, surprising love!

This is the second book of poetry I have read from this particular author, and it appears to be deeply personal to her and her beloved. Many of the references are extremely deep and tend to escape me. I would certainly need to examine much of the poetry on a deeper lover. Notwithstanding, one thing of which I am certain is that this woman knows love on a very deep level–deeper than I have ever known. She conveys this in such a magnificent way with her use of similes and metaphors. She is definitely a master of that literary device.
Although I struggled to fathom the depth of some of her poetry, it is clear that she is a skilled poet that has combined some of the old with some new imagery. I cannot fully comprehend these poems without having experienced some of the love that she describes in these poems, but I definitely appreciate it for its perspective and depth.

Awakened Love is the second in a series of sacred love poetry by New Thought author, artist and minister Kanta Bosniak. Delightfully illustrated with whimsical, heart-themed drawings and quotes on love, the book imbues spiritual meaning with lightness and a sense of fun. The perfect size to slip in with a wedding gift or slide across the table at that special dinner. As with Bosniak’s other print books, you’re invited to color in and embellish the illustrations as you desire. A sweet little gift book and rich new source of alternative wedding readings.

This is the first of this author’s books to which I have chosen to give a 5-star rating. Don’t get me wrong–the author is a fantastic poet, but I especially liked this one. For whatever reason, I was able to connect with the literary and cultural references in a way I could not with the other two books. This is certainly my favorite, and I struggle to know why. Maybe it took me this long to grasp the author’s style, but I connected with practically every poem, quote, and illustration in the book. If I had to choose one to give as a gift, I would pick this one. But again, poetry is one of the most subjective literary forms out there. Her word pictures are delightful, and at times I felt I was a part of the poem rather than just a spectator.

The Love Is Everywhere Coloring Book by Kanta Bosniak

My daughter is ten years old, and when I saw the intricacies of this coloring book, I knew she would appreciate it. You should have seen her face when I presented it to her. She is the artist in this family, and I know she will take good care of this coloring book. This is not intended for little kids. I would recommend gifting it to tweens, teenagers, and young adults. The drawings are gorgeous, and the corresponding quotes are insightful and gorgeous. I highly recommend this coloring book.
