My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a delightful read that I could heartily recommend to just about anyone who likes clean romances with a bit of mystery and some Christian themes. Most of us seem to be enamored with non-traditional clergy, and I think this is a fascination with nuns–or at least I have one. Pair up a young novice with a special agent caught in a Mexican drug cartel, and you are set for a rollicking good time. There is never a dull moment, and I found this humorous, never sacrilegious, and full of both sorrowful and entertaining misadventures. I was honestly shocked to discover how long this book took to get published because it deserves its five-star rating just as much if not more than most books I have read lately in similar genres.

There are absolutely no sexual encounters within this book, and to the best of my recollection, there are only a couple of instances of mild profanity. Drug cartels are in the news regularly, and although the conclusion is expected and possibly unrealistic, it is a definite feel-good book suitable for all ages. Mild Christian themes permeate the book, but they are subtle and not what would be called evangelical. However, the transforming power of God is a definitive message within the book. I kind of hope that we have not seen the end of Maggie and Jed

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
