I realize I’m a day behind, but in this case, I’m so glad I got to wait to write this!

First of all, my younger self always dreamed of being able to work with actors. Granted, at the time, the actors with whom I was enamored were old-time actors and actresses (most of whom had passed on even as I was growing up). But I dreamed of being friends with actors and somehow working with them. And now, I am!

But my younger self would also appreciate the fact that I am kinder and gentler to myself. While I still stumble and fall back into my old ways on occasion (when I take my eyes off the Lord), my past does not control who I am today. While on occasion, I let old patterns of thinking into my brain, making the break with them so much faster. I am in control by the grace of God, and I refuse to let them rule my mind and body.

My younger self would rejoice that I’m a writer and singer. My younger self would be amazed to think that I have incredible organizational skills and that I learn things quickly (most of the time). And that I conquer adversity! My walk with the Lord is much more substantial than it ever was before. I am eternally grateful for all the transformation that has occurred this year!
