Holiday scents…oh, there are so many heavenly ones I could list, and at first glance, it might be challenging to pick a favorite one. But after mulling it over for a relatively short time, I knew what my favorite holiday scent was and even why I chose that one.

Baking and Christmas are intertwined in my mind, and holiday bread is always special. I am the one who can bake the best bread in my family (my grandmother was an excellent baker as well), and so the smell of bread baking has to be my favorite scent. There is no other smell that brings to mind Christmases past and prepares us for the season that is upon us. I must make some German stollen or something comparable this year!
