Let me say up front that I have never been a fashionista, and I doubt I ever will be.  I enjoy wearing clothes–I am a thrift store shopper by nature–but following fashion trends and being fixed up “to the nines” is not my idea of having fun.  The last time I spent a long time dressing and preparing myself for something special was when I got married back in 1994 (and, of course, that didn’t end so well, but thankfully I did not know it at the time).

Dressing Your Truth™ is an online course that offers a unique perspective on fashion and women being their most beautiful selves.  Carol Tuttle is the one who created this concept, and as I reviewed her wonderful program, it was quite intriguing.  I was sent a copy of her book, and I also got to sign up for her online course that takes you on a journey to be your most beautiful self in 30 days of less.  I am still in the midst of the course, so my experience is not over yet.  I am excited about truly delving into the course, and I honestly believe I will learn a lot.

The most important thing I did during this time of review was to decide that I was a TYPE℠ 4 woman.  The book was invaluable as I tried to decide between all four energy Types which are based on the Energy Profiling® system, developed by Carol Tuttle.  I have taken an incredible amount of personality tests during my lifetime, and so I know myself pretty well.  I appreciated how every Type was broken down, but I would have loved to have seen a quiz to guide my discovery.  I am one of those people who like taking quizzes, and even though they are not always one hundred percent accurate, I feel that taking a quiz similar to a personality quiz would have been beneficial.  However, Carol does describe things pretty well.

I truly struggled to decide if I was Type 3 or 4 .  After all, rich and dynamic does describe me to a degree, and I find that I always try to accomplish too much.  I am generally working on about 10-15 things at once, and I struggle more than I ever did (now that I am older) to get my to-do list done.  Notwithstanding, I found that Bold and Striking (Type 4) seemed more my cup of tea.  I made the decision when I read that Oprah Winfrey and Katherine Hepburn were Type 3–no way I was anything like them!  And when I read that Audrey Hepburn was a Type 4 woman, I was able to make the decision that I was a 4.  Not only that, but I read a line that truly made sense to me.  In the book, she explains that Type 4 women don’t see the point in a course like this, and I couldn’t be more in agreement!  I don’t mean that in a bad way.  I know myself pretty well, and I know what I like.  I’m very methodical in how I approach fashion, and why would I be interested in changing.  Don’t worry, though–she convinced me that I needed this.  It would only help me be better!
