Interview With the Author:

Please tell us something unique about you that we can’t learn from your bio.

Well, before getting into writing, I used to play the violin as a child for about six years. Not sure why I stuck at it for that long though. I was awful.

What’s your favorite part of writing?

Wow, there are so many parts to writing that I love. I would say the best part is when I begin to fall in love with my own story. This could happen at the beginning or somewhere in the middle of the story (Usually at a turning point in the plot). There comes a moment where something clicks and I am rooting for my own characters – like a parent cheering on their children. The worst part however, is ending it all. One of my habits is delaying the inevitable final chapter because I know what will come next: The end.

What draws you to write fantasy?

There’s something about pure escapism that I’ve always found comforting. I’ve always been fascinated with things that are not real and things which could never be proven. It’s so much more exciting than the real world. Writing fantasy is just another way of expressing this love for the things that are not real. Another reason why I am drawn to write fantasy, is that I can express a yearning or message (Friendship, justice, war etc…) without being too direct with any real-world parallels.

What stories do you wish you had time to write?

I am quite content writing fantasy at the moment, and don’t wish to do anything different. What I do wish for, is time in general, haha.

What would you most like to accomplish as a writer?

When I was young, my dream was to be a popular and well-known writer to the world. However, now, all I desire is to be a writer with a small yet solid fan base, and I am happy that this is slowly becoming reality for me. It’s already amazing enough that people have wrote their thoughts about how my novels have made them feel. I hope that I can continue to capture their hearts.

What’s up next for you?

This July, I hope to release a new novel, which is to be a brand-new retelling of the Crimson Samurai world. After that, I hope to release a Christmas story!
