Dogs Having Fun Away From Home

When you need somewhere to take your dog while you go out of town or if you need to take the dog to another location while you’re at work, consider a doggie day care in Michigan. These are like kennels where the dog will have its own space and staff who will care for the dog by providing food, water and time outside. There are some day care centers that let you watch your dog on a video during the day so that you know what your pet is doing.

If it’s your first time taking your dog to a day care center, you might not know what to expect and might question some of the activities that the dog will take part in during the day. One of the things to keep in mind is that these centers usually want you to pick up your dog in the evening before you go home as they don’t let dogs stay overnight. However, there are some centers that will allow dogs to stay overnight for an additional fee. You can usually take your own food for your dog, but most centers provide a healthy food for all of the dogs that are there.

Taking your dog to a day care center allows your pet to socialize with other animals, getting the interaction that is needed that it might not get while at home alone or even if you are at the home with the dog. You will have the peace of mind that your dog isn’t at home alone and stuck in a crate during the day with no one there to provide care when the dog is at the center. When you drop the dog off, you will see that there are areas of different sizes that look like kennels. These areas are where the dogs stay for most of the day. Dogs are given food in the morning and in the afternoon. Some centers will give treats to the dogs. If the weather is nice, then the dogs are taken outside so that they have room to play with other dogs that are their size. If it’s hot outside, then the dogs might play in a small wading pool so that they can cool off. Much care is given to the safety of the dogs and so that the dogs know that they are loved.
