“Fulfill your destiny Fifi, as you wander through the Wilderness,” Goth her spirit guide tells her….

Marcus Dino’s latest book ‘Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul’, an anthology like it’s smash hit predecessor, ‘Diary of a Mad Gen Yer.’ has 21st century actress/heroine Cheryl ‘Fifi’ Larouche coming back outrageous as ever introducing new ‘Silly Stories,’ ‘Silly Poems,’ and ‘Silly Blogs’, plus an added new twist using the world of Twitter, Fifi’s ‘Silly Tweets.’

‘Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul’ is third in a series of ‘Fifi’s stories following Marcus Dino’s top ten Amazon Bestseller ‘Diary of a Mad Gen Yer’ in addition to his original Hollywood novel ‘Fifi.’

Many of the major characters from Mr. Dino’s two earlier book are back in ‘Evolved Soul’ including Fifi’s boyfriend Biff, her obstinate father Charles, and her two alien friends from the planet Zatoris, Alocki and Helos. In addition there are some very interesting new characters in ‘Evolved Soul’ including a long dead Englishman who said he knew great literary figures such as Dickens and Keats called ‘The 200 Year Old Great Writer,’ and two entities who say they are ‘Fifi’s Spirit Guides’ Goth and Au.

Both Goth and Au write very inspirational blogs that convey a strong message in the ‘Blogs’ section of ‘Evolved Soul.’

‘Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul’ is both humorous and inspirational and like it’s two predecessors will entertain the reader from beginning to end.

What inspired me to write Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul?

(Guest Post by the Author)

A lot of things led me to write my new book, Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul.  First I wanted to write another anthology in the same mode as my previous book, Diary of a Mad Gen Yer, as opposed to my first book, the original Hollywood novel Fifi.  In Fifi I introduce the main character, Cheryl ‘Fifi,’ Larouche, struggling actress/heroine who is determined to reach Hollywood’s pinnacle in as short of amount as possible.  When she comes to Los Angeles after college to begin her acting career, she gets a dose of reality as she keeps on getting rejected from one audition after the other.  Her domineering college professor Charles tells her she is wasting her time being a Hollywood actress, which he thinks is like ‘winning the lottery,’in La La Land and needs to come back to her home town of Des Moines Iowa, where through contacts, he can land her a real job as a banker.

In my second book, Diary of a Mad Gen Yer, which as an anthology of short stories, poetry, and blogs is not a sequel to Fifi but a ‘sidequel’ or would even be considered a ‘prequel’ to my original novel.  In Diary I’m changing from a genre of ‘Hollywood novel’ to ‘YA Fantasy anthology’ which include short stories, poetry, and Fifi’s personal blogs called ‘Fifi’s Thoughts.’  In the short stories I basically portray  a frustrated Fifi, not being able to land a Hollywood role, reliving her acting in her ‘silly dreams.’  In Diary I go from the  reality concept in Fifi depicting the trials and tribulations of a struggling actress to fantasy by adding characters such as Helos and Alocki, Fifi’s two good friends who say they are extraterrestrials from an another star system and the smartest people she has ever met.

So now let’s go into my third book, Practical Advice from an Evolved Soul.  The last few years I have been a real student of Spirituality.  So I in addition to basically using the same concept of sidequel/fantasy anthology to Fifi as I did with Diary, I introduce two more new characters as Fifi’s spirit guides, Goth and Au.  Both Goth and Au offer ‘spiritual advice’ to the readers as part of Fifi’s ‘silly blogs’ although the silly part is not quite accurate because while Fifi’s thoughts again are humorous, what Goth and Au say are quite inspirational.  So in effect Evolved Soul is partially nonfiction because in addition to the anthology of short stories, blogs, and another new section, a number of Fifi’s ‘silly tweets’ which I have taken from my elaborate collection of over 15,000 tweets I have made to Fifi’s numerous Twitter followers, there is the ‘New Age’ advice that is given out in Evolved Soul.  Where I got a lot of their advice who knows?  A spirit guide talking to me or perhaps one of the deceased ‘New Age’ gurus is channeling me from ‘The Afterlife.’  Anyways the analogy concept of Evolved Soul just like Diary is to go more in depth into Fifi’s character and a ‘silly poem or tweet’ can describe how Fifi thinks in a few lines than a whole chapter in a novel.
