Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Joy DVDFirst of all, I realize this is a late for a “Christmas DVD” review, but somehow it got lost in the shuffle and I only just found it. However, children love Christmas stories any time of year, and the movie itself would work well for Valentine’s Day, Easter, or any child’s birthday coming up. Christmas is only a small part of it.

Synopsis:

Iesodo (means “The Way of Jesus”) and his friends bring your favorite New Testament stories to life in a whole new way including this special re-telling of the Nativity story. Let your heart take flight and tweet along to holiday carols and all-new songs!
Festivities are in full swing as the flock prepares to celebrate Iesodo’s birthday! The Cypress Tree is decked out with holly berries and excitement is in the air. Everyone gathers as Rocky shares the story of this amazing day and how it changes their lives forever.

My thoughts: I absolutely love this series of DVD’s even though my daughter is honestly too old to enjoy them. The target age is really preschool through early elementary. The songs are well-done, and the animation is eye-catching and beautiful. The voices fit their characters well, and the action keeps the attention of the children watching.

Parents can rest in the knowledge that the stories bring Bible stories to life, and they remain true to original stories as much as possible while keeping the attention of young children.  Parents can also fine much supplemental material on the website (check out the links below).
