Celebrating 31 Days of Friendship With Live Happy

By Ruth on August 19, 2014 in advice

Best-friends-foreverI realize that August is half over, but there is still plenty of time to celebrate 31 days of friendship.  And that is what the Live Happy magazine would like for you to do!  They are challenging all of us to be more friendly this month, as you know, once you start implementing something like this, you will probably find it becomes easier as time goes on.  The more you practice being friendly, the better you will be.

Here is one quote they list that sums it up well:

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art….It has no survival value; rather, it is one of those things that give value to survival.” —C.S. Lewis

Although my friends are few and far between, social media has given me a whole new world of “friends.”  Maybe they are not my flesh and blood friends, but I have discovered how important it is to be friendly.  And I would say that speaking uplifting words is even more important on social media.  Don’t run anyone down–especially your friends.  Because even though you can delete it, once you’ve said it, it’s out there for everyone to see.

Be sure to check out all 31 ideas here.

And remember this:

“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light.” ―Helen Keller
