IBM
Here is something I really did not know.  On this date in 1911, the company that would one day be called IBM was founded.  It was called Computing-Tabulating-Recording (CTR),and its financier was Charles Flint.  He was a very forward-thinking individual, and he was the one who merged the three companies to create this corporation.
