As we are still in the middle of winter, we are still in the midst of the cold and flu season. I am a substitute teacher, and I have a 10 1/2-year-old daughter. You can imagine that our household is constantly coming in contact with germs of all sorts. And let’s be honest. No matter where we go in this world, our bodies are constantly bombarded with germs, bacteria, and who knows what else.
I am a big believer in natural remedies (at least for applicable illnesses–I also go to the doctor). We all know that there is no actual cure for the common cold or flu. But there are products out there that can help to build up our immune systems and thus decrease the intensity and length of the illness. Some people don’t believe in these products, but I have seen them work time and again. And it just so happens that I got to review one of these products. It is called Emergen-C, and I put a lot of confidence in this product.
Now, let me honest. I have no been sick since receiving this packet for review. However, I thought I was getting sick, so I tried my Raspberry-flavored packet. It was very easy to use. I just put it in a glass of water, and stirred it up. It tasted good (that’s the best part thing about this line of products), and in the morning, I no longer felt that illness coming on. While this is not a definitive review, I have used this product in the past with fantastic results. While I loved this flavor, I really enjoy some of the other flavors. I am not a fan of the orange, but it looks like they have some new flavors. And I would love to buy the kids version. I didn’t know that was available until I checked out their site. (Check out the site for more information here.) I also had no idea they had a recipe section on their website! I really need to spend some time checking those out.
So, why does this product work so well? First of all, the efficacy of this product truly depends on many factors. One of the most important is using the product the moment you suspect you have a cold. Don’t wait–the product will not work as well. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Secondly, the list of vitamins, antioxidants (including a super dose of Vitamin C) are what work to build up your immune system.
