Wonderfully Made: Devotional Thoughts on Becoming a Beautiful Woman of GodWonderfully Made: Devotional Thoughts on Becoming a Beautiful Woman of God by Michelle Medlock Adams

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely adore women’s devotional books because I often have my devotions at night before I go to bed. I appreciate reading simple thoughts from women of God to which I can easily relate. This is a book that was given to me as a Christmas surprise, and it certainly delivered even more than what I expected.

There are two things that set this devotional apart from the majority of women’s devotionals with which I am familiar. There were no dates attached to the devotional entries which means you could start this at any time rather than trying to align your readings with the current date. Also, the stories and thoughts communicated in these entries truly deal with real women’s issues. Scripture begins each entry, but everything from looks to weight loss to loss of a loved one are told in light of that Scripture. While most devotionals use real-life experiences, this one didn’t mind sharing down-to-earth examples manifested in terms that women could understand.

Overall, I was quite pleased with everything about this book. I typically read two entries per night, and it was very accessible reading. I read this for my Just For Fun 2014 Challenge, and I would decidedly recommend it to all women of faith!
