Wink MartindaleI grew up watching Tic-Tac-Dough, so I was very familiar with today’s feature.  On this date in 1934, game show host Wink Martindale was born.  His birthplace was Jackson, Tennessee, and his birth name was Winston Conrad Martindale.  At the age of 17, he became a radio disc jockey, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957, from Memphis State University.  From 1978 to 1985, he hosted Tic-Tac-Dough.  On October 13, 2007, he was one of the first inductees into the American TV Game Show Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.  In case you wonder about his nickname, it came from a neighborhood friend.
