mold mildewWe live in the country, and we live in a mobile home.   We have one dog, thirteen cats, four goats, three adults, and one child.  We live in Washington state where it is normally pretty damp, and there is a lot of dirt around here.  Welcome to the country!

Wet & Forget Indoor Mold + Mildew Disinfectant Cleaner is the product I was sent to review.  It was described to me as a spray and wipe formula, and it does not have to be scrubbed or rinsed off. The instructions are to spray the product on the surface, wait ten minutes, and then wipe it off.  That’s all there is to it.  It cleans the area, kill the mold/mildew, and it keeps it from coming back.  In addition to this, it gets rid of the odor, and you don’t have to worry about the fumes from bleach.  It doesn’t contain any.

First of all, let me warn you.  I was confused about how to set the product up to spray.  There are some instructions, but I actually had to get some help with understanding them.  The spray nozzle is a little different, and it is not initially attached to the top of the container.  As you see in the picture, the nozzle is detached and stored in its own section.  It has a little hose section on it that attaches to the top of the bottle. But you don’t unscrew that cap.  It is a flip top cap.   So you flip that portion up, and the hose portion of the nozzle fits on that part of the cap.  I know this sounds confusing, but if you happen to buy a bottle for yourself, you will probably understand what I am saying.

It also takes a while to get the spray started.  The liquid has to be forced up the hose, and it is a long hose.  Just keep at it, and you will be rewarded with a nozzle that sprays very nicely and evenly on the surface.  I wish I had taken before and after pictures, but take my word for it.  I sprayed it on a couple of our windowsills.  When I came back about fifteen minutes later, most of the mold was gone.  And the surface looked much cleaner.  I absolutely detest cleaners that you have to scrub or rinse off.  With this, you don’t have to do either.  While I didn’t notice the mold smell, it is really nice to know this has no bleach in it.  Normally, you will only need to reapply this product every seven days if you are cleaning an area that is exposed to heavy moisture on a regular basis.   However, if it is an area where mold appeared only once due to a leak, you should only need to apply this once.

I would invite you to check out this company and their entire line of products. While you’re at it, be sure to follow them on facebook and find out where you can buy their products.
