Glasstic Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle Review

I was sent a free product for review purposes.

glass bottleThe Glasstic Glass Water Bottle is perfect for all of your favorite beverages, especially water.   I love water bottles.  They are what ensures that I drink enough water during the day.  Up to this point, I have used a plastic or stainless steel water bottle. While these are adequate, I don’t like the taste of plastic water bottles (you probably know what I mean), and stainless steel bottles are hard to clean.

These bottles are designed with a glass insert on the inside of a durable plastic outer casing that helps protect from breakage while providing containment and shatter proofing even if the glass does break.   The company offers glass insert replacements for the life of the product for the cost of shipping, and this should hopefully encourage reuse!

This product contains a 16-ounce pure glass insert on the inside and a BPA Free Plastic outer shell around the glass to provide durability and containment While I don’t know everything about this, I know this means  that nasty chemicals won’t get in your water.  No sense ingesting chemicals that you don’t need.

The product can be fairly easily disassembled and cleaned manually or in the top rack of a dishwasher.  And since the product is encased in plastic, it will keep condensation away!

One of my favorite things about  this bottle is that the lid has an open and close latch, and this ensures that water will not leak out when you don’t want it to.  If the latch is locked, you can’t drink out of it.  Unfortunately, this was the only part of the bottle that didn’t wear well.  After a few weeks of using it, a student knocked the empty bottle to the floor (it wasn’t the first time it fell), and the latch stopped working.  Thankfully, the water still does not leak even though I can no longer lock or unlock it.  The suction on the bottle works well.

I received the blue one for my review, and I was instantly drawn to it.  It was initially hard to unscrew the parts so I could disassemble the water bottle and clean it efficiently.  The parts do fit tightly, but that means the bottle is truly leakproof!

So what did I think of this?  I loved everything about it!  My water never tasted better (even when I used less-than-perfect tap water).  It never had the plastic  taste. I found myself drinking more water than with other bottles.  I loved the flip cap–it is a perfect fit for my mouth.  And it could not be easier to transport this bottle.  In fact, it is one of the few bottles I could attach to the back of a bathroom stall (you know–the clip where a woman normally puts her purse).  That may not be a big deal to most, but I never like  putting my water bottle on the floor.  Especially the public bathroom floor!

I think it is great that the company will offer a replacement inner glass bottle for the life of the bottle.  I did drop this water bottle more than once, but it was very durable.  As I said, the safety latch was the only thing that somewhat broke.  I did switch to an old plastic bottle last week, and I discovered just how good this water bottle was!

I highly recommend this water bottle, and be sure to follow them on social media for the latest news, deals, and promotions!
