cheese crackersSo are you a snack junkie like I am?  Or let me put that a different way.   Are you a healthy snack food junkie?  I sure am!  I love trying new, healthy snacks, and that is why I am so glad  I got to try Cheese Thinnables.  I am a lover of cheese snack crackers, so I was pretty excited to try these out.  As were my mom and my daughter.

First of all, here are the facts:

  • Tangy Cheese cracker taste
  • 11g fiber per package (44% of your Daily Value!)
  • Each package has about 30 crackers
  • Just 60 calories per oz – compare to 140 in Cheeze-Its®

When I opened up the bag, I was pretty happy.  The bag looks to be about the same size as other cheese cracker single-serve bags.  And the crackers  look fairly similar.  I tore into them, and I will  admit that the flavor  was a little different.  I would say that the cheese is not quite  as intense as  the unhealthier versions of these cheese crackers.   Personally, I think that is to be expected.  I will not lie and tell you they taste exactly like higher-calorie versions.

By the time I finished the bag, I was pretty happy about the flavor.  And I am willing to sacrifice a bit of flavor for the other benefits.  My 10-year-old daughter said they were okay, and my 70-year-old mother said they were as well.  She said that although they don’t taste exactly the same, the high fiber content is enough to  have her eating these.  My daughter didn’t have anything else to say about them, but like anything, it does sometimes take a bit of adjustment.

The best thing about these crackers (besides the health benefits) is that you feel like you have actually eaten something pretty hearty.  With the other  cheese crackers, you have eaten a lot of sugars and white flour.  This makes you feel like you haven’t eaten much of anything.  When I eat a little 100-calorie pack of regular cheese crackers, I am not satisfied for very long if at all.  After eating the Cheese Thinnables, I can say I felt satisfied.  Fiber is very filling, and you will stay fuller longer.  I would certainly choose these over other cheese crackers any time!

In addition to visiting their website in the link above, be sure to like them on facebook (there is a link at the top of their page) for a $5 coupon code to apply to your order.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
