My moments of inspiration this week have come from church and our weekly Bible study.  I could say a lot, but I’m going to concentrate on my most recent Bible study time.  Every other Sunday night, we have been studying the book of James from the Bible.  The lesson reminded us about the fact that God is in control of everything we do.  So often, we say we are going to do thus and such, and we don’t give a thought to whether God wants us to do that or not.  We just go about our merry way, and we forget to find out whether God wants us to do it or not.

The passage tonight reminded us that we need to preface things by saying that we will do thus and such “if it is God’s will.”  That is the key!  When we can look at our lives and realize that God is in control of it all, and He will accomplish His purpose in us, things are better.  When we see His “interruptions” as chances for us to learn something or for Him to do a greater work, life suddenly seems to go better.  It’s chaotic enough, and I certainly don’t need additional stress by not following God’s will.  I have often said that if I were in charge of my life, I would truly make a mess of it.  I’m sure glad God is in control!

Now it’s time for our featured linker of the week. I really love that people come over here and link up each week with us, and as a little thank you I like to feature one of the lovely linkers whose post really spoke to me. Would you like to be featured? All you need to do is to link up below – I pick out a different post to feature every week. This week I’d like to feature this post from Barbara at My Life as an Adventure. In it she talks all about what harvest time and autumn mean to her. She practices such thankfulness and it literally pours out in her words. Definitely worth a read.

I think putting your thoughts into that perspective can be really important – definitely something to bear in mind.

The linky doesn’t seem to be showing this week on your post (or maybe it’s just my connection that’s problem!)

    Thanks for linking up!

This is truly crazy. The linky was there when I posted. I even added my link, and now it did something strange. I have had that happen before where the linky initially shows up, and then it disappers. I’m going to add the linky again. Thanks for pointing this out, by the way!
