My Daughter’s Crazy Cat–and a Contented Dog (UBC Day 10)

Our family has fourteen cats and one dog.  However, Dusty is my daughter’s cat.  He has become a very lazy cat this summer (takes after his owner), but last night, he was quite playful.  I tried to put him in my daughter’s room at about 10:15 last night, and the big old thing squeezed himself under the buffet.  I got some very candid shots.

How on earth did he get under there?

Who me?

Then one of our formerly feral cats decided to get in on the action–Spy.  She is a strange one.  As a kitten, she used to climb a tree and get stuck up there.  We would try to get her down, but she continued to cry.  Our goats even used to tell her to get down!  Then usually after 3-4 days, she would come down.  She now stays pretty close to home.

I want in here, too!

Our poor dog, Piper, tends to get very jealous, but she had it made this morning!

I’m the dog, and I belong here!

It is never a dull moment with all our animals!

What a fun-looking crowd! How DID the cat fit under the buffet? Thanks for sharing,

Honestly, I don’t know. I watched him do it. He is not a super-skinny cat by any means, but he squeezed himself under it. There is not much of an opening, but I have heard that if cat can fit his head in something, he can fit his whole body in it.

Most kids are really excited to see our animals. But they are a lot of work! I often have to fight several of them to even work on my blog. They would rather be on my lap and resent my laptop and even my kindle!
