Six years ago, I would not even have known who this girl was, and now the whole country knows her family quite well.  On this date in 2001, Sasha Obama was born.  Our president now has another preteen to deal with since she turns twelve today.  This was from a few years back, I would say, and she has indeed grown up a lot since he became our leader.  I am not going to turn this into a political debate, so let’s not discuss political differences here.  I wish Sasha the best on her very special day.

I hope she has a very Happy Birthday!! Mr. Obama has his work cut out for him, that’s for sure!! I have a 22yr. old and she still liked me when she was 12, but when they start becoming teens it’s a whole new ball game, unfortunately!! Thank God my daughter got through her teens in one piece and she makes me very proud to be her mom now!! She has a great job, is going for a Master’s Degree is Family Counceling/Psychology and she lives across the country from me in CA (not happy about that one, but very proud she is making it on her own!!)

      Tammy,
So that means that is what I have to look forward to in a couple years, right? My daughter will be ten on Thursday, and I hope that she has the kind of teenage years I did. It sounds like your daughter is doing really well. And don’t give up hope about her being so far away. My mom had to deal with me across country, and now I am back home. So you never know what the future holds. Happy Monday!
