Johnny Carson

I remember this day.  I never watched The Tonight Show, but I knew all about it.  My mom used to watch it when she was first married since my dad had the night shift.  She said he was always the greatest, and indeed what I have watched and read about Johnny Carson lead me to the same conclusion.  On this date in 1992, Johnny Carson stepped down from hosting The Tonight Show after 30 years.   This was the final episode, and it was a look back at 30 amazing years of memories.   I somewhat recently read a book about Johnny Carson, and if you’re interested, you can check out my review.  There will never be another Johnny Carson, and hopefully his legacy will never be forgotten.

All I have seen of Johnny Carson, he really was an amazing comedian and entertainer! Such a sad day when he left!

I love Johnny Carson and I have the taped series that has all the highlights from The Tonight Show. I’ve seen them over and over but I still crack up every time I watch them. Some of the bits are priceless, like when he has a very young Drew Barrymore on. I also LOVE any of the shows when he has animals on. Too FUNNY!

I love Johnny Carson, he was fabulous. Wonderful sense of humor. I was lucky enough to get tickets to his show, it’s something I will never forget. His guests that night were Harry Belafonte, Dyan Cannon and George Burns. He was the best and there will never be anyone like him.

I honestly never got to see him, but that must have been quite a show. I loved George Burns, Jack Benny, and the list goes on! What a shame that the upcoming generation doesn’t know anything about these talented people!
