I know the controversy surrounding this song, but honestly, I think it is a load of hooey.  I used to love this when I was growing up.  In fact, I saw the cartoon based on it.  And on this date in 1963, Peter, Paul, and Mary released Puff, the Magic Dragon.  And some stations refused to play it because it was assumed to be a drug/marijuana song.  I actually think it is a folk song/kid’s song.  I have left a lot of links below for you to check out for yourself!
