Being a mother myself who remembers how fragile and strong my daughter was as a newborn, I am so pleased to be a part of this fantastic campaign!  This campaign is something in which everyone on twitter can participate, and it can make a world of difference for the youngest ones in this world of ours–newborns.

The Gates Foundation is spreading newborn health tweets from now through about mid-April.  Why?  The Global Newborn Health Conference will be held in South Africa from April 15-18.  And Dr. Gary Darmstadt, Director of Family Health for the Gates Foundation, wants to make sure that the word gets out about keeping newborns healthy.  Have you ever tweeted something that could potentially save someone’s life?  I know I haven’t, but I am now.  Want to join in, too?  Click on this page for twitter updates, and simply retweet!  Couldn’t be easier!  More information to come very soon.
