I am afraid I don’t remember this, but maybe you do.  On this date in 2009, we experienced a partial lunar eclipse and a blue moon at the same time.  A blue moon is the second full moon that happens within a month.  The partial lunar eclipse could only be seen from Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe.  I guess maybe that’s why I don’t remember.  Anyway, it was certainly something that just doesn’t seem to happen very often.  For more information:
