When you first begin to plan your wedding, you will find that one of the first things you consider are your wedding invitations..  These simple items can often set the theme of the entire day, so it is important to select them wisely.  The possibilities are almost endless.  You can pick generic wedding invitations if you are keeping the theme of your day a mystery, or you can pick one that fits your wedding theme to give your guests a teaser of what to expect.

Maybe your wedding is a beach theme.  Coral Wedding Invitations could be the ideal invitation to send out.  These invitations will let your guests know that they are in for a fun and memorable time on your special day.

When sending out invitations, it is customary to add RSVP cards so your guests can respond and let you know whether they are coming or not and how many are in their party.  RSVP’s can be very simple with just your contact information and a place for your guests to mark whether they are coming or not and how many will be with them.  If you wish, however, you have the option of including much more detailed RSVP cards.  Consider adding a part on the card where they can indicate meal choice, age of guests, and/or any allergies.  Knowing these things up front will give you plenty of time to adjust to the special needs of your guests.

Wording your invitation is one of the most important things you will do in this stage of planning.  It is imperative that you know proper etiquette when talking about who is hosting the wedding and how you go about inviting your guests to attend.  It would be a good idea for you to do some research on invitation etiquette so that your invitations are clear and concise.  Some of the questions you will need to ask are:

  • Who is paying for the wedding?
  • Are both families going to be involved?
  • Who will be hosting?
These simple questions should get you started so you can make sure your invitations detail everything your guests need to know without being evasive, offensive, or vague.
